Renovations are a lot of work. They are a lot of stress. Renovations create moments of complete chaos. Your house is a mess. You don’t know where your keys, shoes, or muffin tins (at least that is me!) are because everything is out of rhythm. If you are like me and Ryan, half of your stuff is in storage and the rest of your stuff is somewhere in your house, but you are only kind of sure of what is where. Order has been thrown out of the window and now you’re main focus is just making sure there is always coffee come morning.
When chaos ensues, just BREATHE.
Your stuff is just stuff. Nothing more.
It is all temporary. This life is temporary. You do not get to take your house with you when your life is over.
At the end of the day, whatever you are freaking out about is probably not worth your time and energy.
Things will get back to normal, and life will go on. Don’t let the lack of order get to you! Take a breath and just breathe.
How do you handle the chaos? Any tips?
This post is the twenty-first of a series called 31 Days of Surviving a Renovation.
